Terms and Conditions

1. This competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over except employees of Telegraph Group Limited, Classic FM, Greene King Brewing and Retail or anyone else professionally associated with the awards.

2. How to enter forms part of the terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. A judging panel appointed by the promoter will choose the winner and the panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

3. Late, illegible, incomplete or defaced entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of despatch will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The sender of the first entry drawn at random from all those received by the closing date will win.

4. All entrants are being asked to vote for their 'Perfect Pub' and must fill in the voting form, ensuring they have completed all questions honestly. Individuals may submit one entry only. The winning pub will be rewarded with the title The Abbot Ale Perfect Pub 2007 and will receive a commemorative wall plaque. Everyone who votes for their 'Perfect Pub' will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win a holiday to Cape Verde courtesy of Holidays Options.

5. The prize is for two people from Independent Air Travel Ltd, trading as Holiday Options. The prize is for 2 x 7 nights for 2 pax at 5* Riu Garopa on an All Inclusive basis. This will include free economy flights and transfers. Dates are flexible but subject to availability at the time of booking and need to be confirmed with the Holiday Options destination manager.

6. The prize is not transferable and there is no cash alternative. It is a condition of entry that all competitors agree to abide by the rules. It is the winner's responsibility to ensure that they and their guest have valid passports and visas (if appropriate). Winners will be requested to participate in publicity.

7. Closing date for entries is January 31st, 2007. The winner will be notified by post within 28 days.

8. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the promoter. Accordingly, the promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the promoter as a result thereof.

We reserve the right to: Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to the website; and/or Change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed.
