Greene King Abbot Ale searched the country, in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph, to find your perfect pub based on the thousands of nominations that you made to the Abbot Ale Perfect Pub Award. From village locals and city centre bars to entrancing rural retreats there were pubs of every size and complexion, reflecting the diversity and richness of Britain's perfect pubs. And that's where our hard work began, as we had to choose a first 11, one for each TV region in England, Scotland and Wales, before we could judge the overall winner.
We sent beer writer Tim Hampson the length and breadth of the country to visit your favourite pubs and he had the tough job of choosing which of the 11 nominated best pubs in the land would win the Abbot Ale Perfect Pub Award.
